OPERA WESTERN RESERVE’S LA TRAVIATA

The box office will open on Mon., Oct. 4th. for OPERA Western Reserve’s Friday, Nov. 12th performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s most popular opera, La Traviata, in  Stambaugh Auditorium. Reservations can be made by calling the opera office at 330-480-0693. This past summer the OPERA Western Reserve Young Artists performed for the YSU Summer Festival of the Arts, the Universal Café across the park, and the Dana School of Music’s Summer Vocal Clinic. The Young Artists’ school program, “Fun With Opera”, has been included with the offerings in the Young Audiences of North East Ohio spring catalogue. The Young Artists will also be presented in the September 12th “Sundays at Stambaugh which will include a preview of highlights from La Traviata. YSU Carols and Cocoa

Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

YSU Carols & Cocoa and Holiday Concert

Carols & Cocoa will be performed in Stambaugh’s Grand Ballroom and will feature seasonal favorites culminating in a holiday sing-a-long.  Dana students bring cookies to share and cocoa will be available.  After a brief intermission, guests are invited upstairs to the Concert Hall where the main concert will feature Poulenc’s “Gloria.”   Tickets may be purchased in advance either in person at the Bliss Hall Box Office or with a credit card by phone at 330-941-3105.  Tickets will also be available the evening of the performance.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens, and FREE for children under 12 and those with a valid YSU ID.
